One of the contestants on Sunday's episode of American Idol's audition tour in San Diego, Calif., made it through to Hollywood but already has some experience dealing with life in Tinseltown ? Jane Carrey, the 24-year-old daughter of Jim Carrey.
The aspiring singer ? who sang Bonnie Raitt's Something To Talk About ? said she wanted to prove herself without capitalizing on her famous pedigree. "The last name definitely helps and hurts," said Jane, mom to nearly 2-year-old Jackson with ex Alex Santana. "There's this pressure to be better because if I make it somewhere, I run the risk of people saying 'you only got there because of [your name]."
